Back off maternity leave with baby Rosa in tow, we played our eighth birthday gig at Salford University. On a desk in a woodwork room. We played a shambles of the hits, and shared a heart shaped cake.

In case you don’t know, I am the bassist and vocalist in DIY girl garage band, Hotpants Romance. This is my band with Kate (drums and vocals) and Laura (guitar and vocals).
We have released 2 albums and toured extensively in the UK, Europe and USA. We have played in bars, beaches, charity shops, cadillacs, festivals, cafes and clubs. We write and play all our own material, though we do have some mean repertoire of covers.
People have said all sorts of things about us, but I’ll choose to tell you my favourites.
“Hotpants Romance are easily my perfect band this year or any other” Everett True, Plan B Magazine
“This band reminds us what indie really means” Stewart Lee, The Sunday Times
“Hotpants Romance are true rough musical diamonds who can shine without needing to be over-polished and are making a very convincing bid to be Manchester’s greatest ever girl group” David Sue, Manchester Evening News
It has been one of the greatest adventures of my life, there is nothing better than travelling the world with your friends.
